The University of Utah’s daily newspaper, The Daily Utah Chronicle, has a brand new (and rather excellent) article about the Alternative Garden Club and why it’s quickly gaining in popularity. In this Arts & Entertainment feature, journalist Mike Hollopeter interviews Russ Pack, Chet Ricketts, Dave Mash, and our “high-energy” member Shane Breeze to discover just how truly diverse our club is. As a gardening club filled with members that enjoy giving back to the community, getting the word out that a group of widely diverse members of any club, regardless of the subject or specialty, can contribute significantly to the betterment of our fellow human beings serves as a great example, not only to others, but to our future as well. Thanks to everyone who contributed and to Q Salt Lake for spreading the word.

This is a great article on the history of The Alternative Garden Club, where it’s been, and (more importantly) where it’s moving to. Dave Mash, current VP and Treasurer as well as Russ Pack, former AGC president, do a great job in offering a snapshot of what The Alternative Garden Club has to offer not only to the Utah LGBT community, but everyone devoted to equality. Well done! You can read the article Here.
